We are pleased to announce that, as of a few days ago, Kiteris Solutions has joined the positive social impact commitment called the Microsoft Partner Pledge.
What does the Microsoft Partner Pledge commitment consist of?
It is an international initiative that helps recognize the positive impact of transformative technologies in our society in four key areas: digital skills and learning, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, responsible and ethical AI.
With these four key areas, we and other organizations are committed to innovation and sustainability based on sustainable digital transformation. As partners and collaborators in this initiative, Kiteris shares Microsoft’s global vision and commitment to raise awareness within our organization to achieve these goals.
Some of the primary objectives that we share and develop within our Kiteris team are: Digital Skills
We advocate for cloud computing and its impact on developing digitisation projects. We review the minimum requirements in the selection criteria for required positions, particularly if a degree or a properly approved technical test is truly necessary. Throughout Kiteris’ journey, we have encountered true professionals who did not complete their university studies but have been, and continue to be, outstanding professionals. A degree does not always ensure that candidates are suitable; rather, it is the completion of appropriate and continuous training.
Learning
Linked to the previous idea, we strongly advocate for learning and continuous training. Within our organisation, we support our collaborators in terms of training, whether by providing training on new skills or seeking opportunities to inform them about digital studies. We have an annual training plan that allows all our collaborators to have free access to training courses and certifications. It is ongoing training that enables them to develop their technical skills in software development, as well as soft skills such as communication, time management, etc.
Diversity and Inclusion
We continuously strive to have a diverse workforce, even knowing that we face certain disadvantages in the technology market. We address racial inequality within our workforce by striving to achieve diversity in the representation of all positions, from
collaborators to higher-level positions. We make efforts to ensure that all individuals in our organisation, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, and other conditions, feel protected, included, and valued on an equal level.
Sustainability
Climate change is a fact, and at Kiteris, we try to be transparent and support sustainability. Not only within our team but also towards our clients by reducing the impact on carbon footprint with digital meetings instead of in-person ones, reducing plastics in the supply chain, and recycling and efficiently managing waste in offices.
Responsible and Ethical AI
Ensuring that AI construction is done responsibly and ethically, always respecting the rights and privacy of everyone involved.
