We attended the 1st Summit on Nature- Based Solutions for the Blue Economy
Commitment to sustainability and the constant pursuit of innovative solutions are fundamental values at Kiteris. For this reason, our managing partners, Manuel Peña and Josep Amores, attended the 1st Summit on Nature-Based Solutions for the Blue Economy, held on 28th February in Cartagena and organised by the Naval and Maritime Technology Center (CTN).
This event brought leaders in research, technology, and industry together with the aim of transforming marine and coastal conservation through innovative, digital, and sustainable solutions.
One of the highlighted sessions at the summit was “Digital Technologies at the Service of Nature: Rigor and Objectivity of Data for Decision-Making.” In this session, the potential of digital technologies in evaluating nature-based solutions was explored, emphasising the importance of rigor in data usage to drive sustainable strategies. The relevance of implementing digital twins to promote the sustainable use of our seas and make accurate predictions about their implementation progress was also highlighted.
The participation of Manuel Peña and Josep Amores in this session was a great opportunity for Kiteris, as they were able to immerse themselves in the cutting edge of innovation in marine and coastal conservation, as well as establish meaningful connections with other leaders in the field to align our technological skills in Data, BI, 3D, etc., with various existing initiatives.
